Fairbanks Symposium On Homelessness II
The Fairbanks Housing & Homeless Coalition (FHHC) will be hosting the Fairbanks Symposium on Homelessness II on February 27, 2019 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel & Conference Center (813 Noble St, Fairbanks, AK 99701-4977).
This symposium will explore the possibilities of developing a local Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team and/or a local Intensive Case Management (ICM) team. ACT and ICM are the leading behavioral health service delivery models for people experiencing homelessness. Currently the only ACT and ICM teams in Alaska are in Anchorage. This symposium will work to develop these needed services in Fairbanks.
Registration ends on February 20th or when we reach capacity, whichever comes first. Both are fast approaching. Please register soon!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anybody with an interest in Fairbanks, homelessness, housing, peer support, mental health, case management, substance abuse, counseling, nursing, employment, social services, health care, etc.

- Assertive Community Treatment (ACM): A client-centered, recovery-oriented behavioral health service delivery model that has received substantial empirical support for reducing psychiatric hospitalizations, facilitating community living, and enhancing recovery for persons with serious mental illnesses.
- Intensive Case Management (ICM): A client-centered, recovery-oriented service delivery model that promotes community integration, independence and an improved quality of life through the provision and coordination of on-going direct services and supports.
REGISTRATION: Please register as soon as possible. We must cap the event at 200 people and the last symposium sold out as this one surely will as well. Unfortunately due to technical issues, we can't have people reserve multiple seats. If you are bringing guests have them register separately rather than registering more than once.
